Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Training

Canyon Springs and Vista Del Lago Health Careers Academy students received 20 hours of Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) training. Students learned how to triage victims, control bleeding, check for respiration and heartbeat, carry victims to safety, and use a fire extinguisher. These students are now “certified” in CERT and will continue to refine their skills to prepare for the Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA) State leadership Conference in Anaheim this Spring.
