I am Diane Donald. I have been teaching at Canyon Springs since 2004. I have had a few different careers before teaching. I grew up in San Francisco, California. The first career I had was in clothing design. I designed children’s clothing for a small company. Sewing and designing has always been a huge passion for me. I started sewing when I was 10 years old. Sewing and designing has always been a huge part of my life. I am excited to have that same passion for my teaching. At one time, I wanted to be a Home Economics teacher. However, most of those programs have been dropped from schools. I love history and always have. With my passion and love of history, I love inspiring my students to not only know history but to feel what it might have been like to live through history. That is why I love creating simulations for students to “relive” history.

I am married and raised five children. My children are all grown now and I have three grandchildren with another one on the way and one being planned. My husband and I love traveling throughout the United States, as well as the world.
